Integrative psychotherapy in Didsbury, South Manchester

What is Integrative Psychotherapy?

Integrative Psychotherapy is a talking treatment which examines the underlying causes of your difficulties to bring about lasting change. It incorporates active engagement with the main psychotherapy traditions:

Humanistic – the interpersonal relationship as its experienced ‘in the room’.

Psychodynamic – the unconscious and early years.

The Body – the physical experience of the emotions, including what we know from neuroscience and attachment studies.

Transpersonal – the experience beyond our material one and the impact of the social and political environment on our development and our relationships.

During the sessions, I offer a calm and confidential space to help you feel safe to talk openly and at your own pace about yourself and your life.

If you are going through a difficult time, psychotherapy can help resolve your difficulties:

Have you been struggling with confusion and conflict?

Are you struggling in your relationships?

Are you experiencing emotional and physical symptoms of distress?

Do you have questions about who you are and how you behave?

As a psychotherapist, I can help by:

  • Providing a safe place for you to discuss your problems openly and in depth.
  • Encouraging you to express honestly what you think and feel.
  • Giving space to identify emotions and thoughts out of reach or unconscious.
  • Enabling you to more fully understand underlying causes of distress

The Process may involve:

Exploring your early life experiences.

Understanding how your adult life has unfolded.

Looking at how you relate to your therapist as this may have links to other relationships.
